Abstract
In this study, Zekeriya Tamir's story titled "Yazıklar Olsun" was examined in terms of its wording and content. Zekeriya Tamir was born on January 2, 1931 in Damascus, Syria. He could not complete his education due to financial difficulties, but he improved himself by reading world literature. He introduced himself to the world with his works such as Tigers on the Tenth Day, We Will Laugh, and Of. The subject of his stories is lecturing and he deals with his own country, Syria, and the Arab World from a political and social perspective. In this study, the 13th story of Zekeriya Tamir in his book titled "special stories" (القصص الحصرم)) was used. The story tells the story of a man who committed theft because of hunger, the difficulties he experienced in prison, and how he ended up in prison again due to a slander he made because of a mistake he made. In this study, the author's life, the author's language and style, the subject of the story, the main idea of the story, the point of view and narrator types in the story, the narrative techniques used in the story, the genre of the story, the protagonists, the elements of space and time are touched upon. It was concluded by adding the final conclusion and recommendations section.
