Activity Sample Suggestion for Teaching the Days of the Week in Arabic
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of this study is to suggest an activity example that will help Arabic students learn the days of the week in Arabic in a way that will be permanent in their memory. The study was conducted through a qualitative method and scanning relevant research. Teaching the days of the week to students learning Arabic is generally done through memorization. The teacher either writes the days of the week on the board or explains the course material to the students in a section of a lesson, makes them repeat it and asks them to memorize it. Even though students who are introduced to the days of the week in Arabic through this method have memorized them, they are likely to have problems in practice and daily use. To overcome this problem during daily use, Arabic students either try to remember and use the days of the week by counting them on their fingers or need help from someone. It is hoped that the activity examples given in this study will contribute greatly to the learning of the days of the week in Arabic at a level that is permanent and easy to remember for Arabic students. Keywords: Arabic Language, Time, Times in Arabic, Teaching Times in Arabic, Teaching Times in Arabic Activities.
