Let’s Learn Arabic Through Love: “Learning Arabic by Laughing and Playing” Game and Drama Class Project Example

Abstract
In this study, “Learning Arabic by Laughing and Playing” The Arabic Game and Drama Class Project, which was created to help Imam Hatip Secondary School students develop a positive attitude towards the Arabic lesson, was introduced. The aim of this Project; making students love the Arabic lesson, demolishing students' prejudices against the lesson, to enable students to develop positive attitudes towards the lesson, to make the lesson student-centered, organizing the classroom environment in a way that students can feel comfortable and motivated for the lesson, to create activities aimed at improving students' speaking skills. Parent cooperation was also benefited for the development of the student. The project is planned to start in 2022 August and continue until 2023 June. As the developer of the project team, support was received from both online and live seminars and interviews from two academicians who are experts in the field of teaching Arabic with games and drama. As a result of the project studies; It was observed that the students developed a positive attitude towards the Arabic lesson and the information they learned through the game was more permanent. The activities and games in the Arabic Game and Drama Class, which were designed with the materials of the lesson, made the students feel more comfortable in the lesson and increased their motivation. Although the project is completed, it is important for the education system that in-class activities and games are developed according to student needs and the renewed world.
